Description

‘White tea from An Ji’ – An Ji refers to the region where tea is grown and produced in Zhejiang Province. Due to its name, it is often classified as a white tea, although the processing is a classic green tea.

The term ‘white’ refers to the almost white color of the leaf, which is typical of the Bai Ye Yi Hao cultivar used (Bai Ye No. 1) from spring harvests. Processed tea, on the other hand, has a very vivid green color (which returns to the originally very pale green to white after brewing).

An Ji Bai Cha is usually collected in early April in Tian Huang Ping in An Ji County. The leaves are long, fine and bright green. In the scent we can find traces of citrus, nuts, bamboo and fresh green peas. The taste is complex, spicy fresh to creamy smooth. The infusion of clear light green color points to classic alpine tea.
