A small nest from the Meng Hai area. Infusion of dark orange color with intense aroma and for Meng Hai teas typical sweet and full taste. The tea has matured since production in 2007 in China in a dry warehouse.
Meng Hai 2007 Tuocha 100g
Tuocha 沱茶 denotes Pu’er pressed into the shape of a nest or bowl. It is one of the basic shapes into which Pu’er is traditionally pressed. The package usually consists of 5 pieces wrapped in bamboo or paper. However, the usual traditional weight is 250g in recent years, and due to the increased interest in Pu’er and its higher exports, smaller nests can usually be found, usually weighing 100g or 50g. However, these small nests are not commonly available on the Chinese market because there is no demand for them.

Ceratophyllum or Gynostemma is a climbing plant from the pumpkin family, which originated in southern China. Low temperature resistance to -15°C. In winter, the above-ground part disappears, but reappears in spring. It can also be planted in pots. This plant is sometimes called five-leaf ginseng or southern ginseng; it has nothing to do with real ginseng (Panax ginseng).
