Chinese Jin Chan (golden toad) or Chan Chu (toad), English Money Frog, It represents a popular Feng Shui charm for prosperity.
This mythical creature is said to appear during the full moon, near houses or businesses that will soon receive good news (most of the time, the nature of this good news is understood to be wealth-related).
According to one Chinese legend, the Golden Toad was the greedy wife of one of the Eight Immortals (Ba Xian), who was turned into a toad as punishment for stealing the Peaches of Immortality (Xian Tao), which are food for immortal, exalted or enlightened beings. Peaches symbolize immortality (or the desire for long and healthy life) and often appear in Chinese art and stories.
