Termín Ming Qian Cha – 明前茶 se uvádí u čajů z nejcennějších brzkých sklizní roku kdy raší první lístky nejvyšší kvality. Doslova značí čaje sklizené před svátkem jara Qing Ming – 清明 (začátek dubna).
